  • Size: Comes in a 11cm Nursery pot

    Difficulties: Easy Care

Pet Friendly: No - Toxic to pets

    Air Cleaner: Yes

  • ☀️ Lighting: Alocasia Frydek thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. A spot near an east or west-facing window covered by sheer curtains would be ideal.

💧Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so ensure good drainage. During winter, reduce watering as the plant's growth slows down.

🌧️ Humidity: This plant loves high humidity. Aim for a humidity level of 60% or higher. You can achieve this by placing a humidifier nearby, placing the pot on a pebble tray filled with water, or regularly misting the leaves.

🌡️ Temperature: Alocasia Frydek prefers warm conditions. Keep it in temperatures between 18°C and 29°C (65°F to 85°F). Avoid sudden temperature changes and keep it away from drafts, air conditioning vents, and heaters.

💊 Feeding: Fertilize your Alocasia Frydek during the growing season (spring through summer) with a balanced, liquid fertilizer diluted to half the recommended strength, every 4 to 6 weeks. Do not fertilize in the winter.

🪴 Repotting: Repot the plant every 2 to 3 years or when it becomes root-bound. Use a pot that is one size larger than the current one. This is also a good time to divide the plant if it has produced offsets.

🪲 Pest Management: Inspect regularly for pests like spider mites, mealybugs, and aphids. If pests are found, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Keep an eye out for signs of diseases like root rot and address promptly by improving the plant's care conditions.
